In this workshop, participants explored ways in which radical and genuine acceptance of all bodies and identities can make fitness spaces and programs safe and celebratory for all. From theories of intersectionality to strategies for transforming programs in the fields of health/wellness, participants discovered ways that health and wellness spaces have traditionally created barriers to the full participation of all community members, learn about the tools and resources available to remove these barriers, and confront the institutionalized dynamics of privilege in order to build authentic relationships with individuals and communities who continue to face resistance to their full inclusion.
